From September 2001 through early 2017 I had the privilege of creating hundreds of displays for the Scholastic Bookstore, in New York City. Because the building at 776 Broadway is also the corporate headquarters, my displays were often the first thing visitors saw when they visited Scholastic for those 16 years. My job consisted of working with the fine people at Scholastic to design, and then to construct exciting large-scale projects to promote the work of many of the greatest children’s book authors and illustrators. For me it was an opportunity to experience the golden era of children’s books up close. I’ve attached here a few samples from those many projects.
